Lis and her mom Inga interviewed!

Just for you moms out there–Lis’ mom Inga recently answered some questions from Bookreporter.com as a special way to celebrate Mother’s Day!  A short excerpt:

Did you have any book or reading rituals in your house?
Storytime was every night, a tradition Lis has carried on with my grandkids. I remember bringing Lis to the public library: she and I would walk out with a stack of books that would almost topple both of us. And when she was in elementary school, she read every book in the library — I mean EVERY book. Years later, she went back to that elementary school —Apple Valley — and saw her sign-out signature on literally every single book in the library.  The librarian still remembered her.

Check out the full interview, and be sure to take a look at the whole series of interviews with writers’ moms!  Happy (belated) Mother’s Day!

More of your letters

Here are more letters from readers just like you (including one from a 12-year-old fan) who just finished Hand of Fate and Face of Betrayal!

Just finished your book Face of Betrayal.  Great, great book.  Only problem was that I read it too quick and it was over.  Looking forward to more Triple Threat novels.  Thanks.
–Melissa H.

Lis,  Loved both Face and Hand.  Can’t wait for Heart.  Better hurry up while Bill C. in Corvalis is still aroung to enjoy it too.  I am 74, I sure as hell will be here to enjoy it.  Maybe some day I can get you to autograph all them for me.
–Bob M.

Dear Miss Wiehl,
Let me just start off by saying your book is amazing! My dad won a copy of it on the radio and brought it home for me to read since I intend to be in the FBI when I grow up, I’ve even been offered to go to a Duke summer camp where they have courses on psychology. Its so hard to find books like
Hand of Fate without the R-rated content so I’m usually not allowed to read these kinds of books, but your book was wonderful and had no R-rated content. I am currently 12 years old but I’ll turn 13 [on] Tuesday the 11th. I intend to read your other two books and any others that you come out with. Please keep writing! I wish you all the best with your new books. God bless!
–Allie M.

A note from another happy reader

Here’s a great letter from a reader that Lis responded to:

When I sent you a note about enjoying Face of Betrayal, you wrote back and encouraged me to get Hand of Fate when it came out.  Well, I enjoyed that one as well.  I much enjoyed all of the real-life feeling situations that you wove into the story and how human you make your characters.  Well done, and I much enjoy you on Fox News Channel.

Warm Aloha,
Rob H.

Thanks, Rob! Los appreciated your kind words.  If you’d like to send Lis a note, please feel free to drop her a line!  She reads all of her messages personally, and you never know–you might get a response!
