Get “Face of Betrayal” for free!

Everyone loves free–so Lis’ publisher is making her first novel FACE OF BETRAYAL available for the next week as a free ebook through Amazon (Kindle), Apple (iBooks Store), Sony (Sony eReader Store), and BN.com (Nook).  This offer is for the digital print edition of the book, NOT the audio version of the book. The audio book is available at regular retail price through the stores listed below.

If you don’t have an ebook reading device, these retailers also provide a free download of a desktop application so you can read the book right on your computer (or on your Apple device in the case of the iBooks download). We shared this news first with Today Show viewers this morning with Lis’ appearance to talk about HAND OF FATE. The offer for is only good for a week starting today… so download now!

Here are the links:

  • Amazon Kindle
  • Sony eReader Store
  • Barnes & Noble nook
  • …or search for FACE OF BETRAYAL in the Apple iBooks store by opening the iBooks app and clicking “Store” in the top left corner.  You must search the iBooks store, not the iTunes Store–the iTunes Store only contains the audio version of the book, which is not free!

Lis honored by Yakima Valley Community College

Lis would like to thank the Yakima Valley Community College for honoring her with their Distinguished Alum Award to be presented at their Commencement Exercises on June 10, 2010.  Though lis will be unable to attend the ceremony, she is pleased that Inga, her mom, will be accepting the award on her behalf.  Thank you to YVCC for honoring Lis!

Lis and her mom Inga interviewed!

Just for you moms out there–Lis’ mom Inga recently answered some questions from Bookreporter.com as a special way to celebrate Mother’s Day!  A short excerpt:

Did you have any book or reading rituals in your house?
Storytime was every night, a tradition Lis has carried on with my grandkids. I remember bringing Lis to the public library: she and I would walk out with a stack of books that would almost topple both of us. And when she was in elementary school, she read every book in the library — I mean EVERY book. Years later, she went back to that elementary school —Apple Valley — and saw her sign-out signature on literally every single book in the library.  The librarian still remembered her.

Check out the full interview, and be sure to take a look at the whole series of interviews with writers’ moms!  Happy (belated) Mother’s Day!
